Lis Group Meetings
This semester, we're going to alternate STAIR and LIS group meetings, so that either STAIR or LIS happens each week. The day, time, and place is:
Fridays, 3-4:30pm, G4 Lounge
For those new to the LIS list, STAIR stands for STatistical AI Reading group. At each meeting, someone leads a discussion on a paper or two. The website for STAIR is http://projects.csail.mit.edu/stair/. Email Jenny (JLBarry AT mit.edu) if you have a paper you want to talk about!
For group meetings, the plan is to rotate through LIS people, so that at each meeting one person gives an informal talk. "Informal" means that the talks don't need to be long or polished or about important results. We'd like to aim for 20-40 minutes plus questions. You can talk about your latest result, or a crazy idea you just had, or a problem you're stuck on.
To sign up for a slot at a particular meeting, fill in your name below. (Free spots are marked with ---.)
